Vacant Spaces In Downtown Phoenix Turned Into Golf Club
If you’ve been to Downtown Phoenix recently, the chances are that you saw an empty lot. Many of these vacant spaces have sat untouched for years but recently, one particular lot has been turned into something you might not expect in the middle of the city.
The Show’s Blake Benard wanted to know more about the folks walking around the empty lot with golf clubs at Terreno Baldio Country Club, "The People's Golf Course."

For Collegiate Athletic Programs, Sustained Success At Division I Doesn't Come Easily
For most collegiate athletic programs in the NCAA, the goal is simple: sustained success at the Division I level. But getting to that point doesn’t come easily. There are a lot of logistics, money and administrative effort that goes into the initial development and creation of a sports program.
Here in Arizona, we’ve seen a couple universities that have recently achieved this, building up division one programs from scratch. Arizona State closes out their second full NCAA hockey season next weekend on Feb. 23-24 at Oceanside Ice Arena in Tempe, and GCU is currently making a push for the NCAA tournament as they wrap up their fifth year.

At Tempe Preparatory Academy, they know they don’t need a perfect athlete. Tempe Prep head football coach Josh Brittain is a commanding presence on the field.
Brittain was born with cerebral palsy, a physical disorder that stems from brain damage and typically affects a person’s muscles and ability to move. For Brittain, it affects his lower body, a bend in the right knee and a dragging of that foot. Still, he walks with confidence and during practices he regularly runs laps around the field.
So don’t call it a disability around him.
